From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank everyone for the dedication that has fueled this campaign since day one. It’s your hard work – your desire to make King County a place where everyone is valued and has a chance to thrive – that made last night’s big primary win possible.
This campaign belongs to you, and to all the people of King County.
But you already know – our fight can’t stop here.
Every day, Donald Trump sows disorder and spews reprehensible policies, proving how critical it is for working families to have state and local leaders who deliver results and work to protect the rights and values of everyone in our communities.
Making sure our children have the support they need to succeed from the start; providing reliable, affordable, energy-efficient transportation; protecting our LGBTQ neighbors; ensuring ample funding for the education of our youth; helping small businesses thrive; defending the rights of immigrants and refugees – this barely scratches the surface of the issues we have to keep fighting for in King County. I know you’ll be with me every step of the way.
Together, in King County, we will be the change we want to see in America; a region, and nation, where everyone belongs, and all can prosper.
Again, thank you for your relentless support. I wouldn’t have been able to make it this far without you. Today we begin the next leg of the journey.
